NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A
AMENDING DEVELOPMENT CHARGES BY-LAW BY
THE CITY OF PEMBROKE
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the City of Pembroke passed an amending Development Charges By-law No. 2026-52 on the 2nd day of June 2026, under Section 2 of the Development Charges Act, 1997 (the Act).
AND TAKE NOTICE that the by-law is not appealable to the Ontario Land tribunal based on Section 19 (1.1) of the Act. The schedule of development charges in the City is not changed by the amending by-law.
The amending by-law provides for changes to the existing By-law 2021-26 to reflect an expiry date of June 7, 2031, unless it is extended by statute, regulation or By-law, or repealed at an earlier date.
The City’s current development charges schedule remains in effect and can be found on the City’s website at https://www.pembroke.ca/business-and-development/planning-and-land-use/development-charges/#CurrentDevelopmentCharges.
No key map is provided as the amending by-law applies to all lands located in the City of Pembroke. Copies of the City’s Development Charges By-laws are available for examination by appointment in the offices of the municipality located at 1 Pembroke St E, Pembroke, Ontario, and on the City’s website.
