Recycling

The City of Pembroke provides a bi-weekly collection program providing container and paper recycling services to residential properties and to some multi-residential and commercial establishments. A detailed sorting guide and information about collection dates can all be found in the curbside collection calendar.

Residential recycling material will only be collected if set out loose in recycling containers or other open top, reusable containers.

Residents are reminded they must not use any plastic bags to set out recyclable sin their bins, even if the plastic bags are left untied. If they do, their bin will be stickered for non-compliance and will not be collected. Only shredded paper is acceptable in clear plastic bags.

Residents are reminded that all plastic bags (bread, produce, outside milk bags, blue newspaper bags, and grocery/retail bags) must not be placed inthe yellow bin, but go in regular garbage.
