City of Pembroke New Official Plan

Under Section 17 and 26 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13

The City of Pembroke is undertaking a review and update to its Official Plan, the result of which will be the adoption of a New Official Plan, which covers all lands within the City of Pembroke (see location map).

TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, the Council of the City of Pembroke will hold a Special Meeting of Council, pursuant to Section 26(3) of the Planning Act, to discuss changes that Council and the community at large would like to see reflected in the new Official Plan. The meeting is to be held:

Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, at 6:00 pm

Council Chambers at City Hall

1 Pembroke St. E.

Pembroke, ON K8A 3J5

The meeting can also be live streamed on the City’s website at: https://www.youtube.com/@TheCityofPembroke  All persons interested in participating in the public meeting are recommended to submit a written request to the Clerk’s Department at City Hall, by emailing victoria.charbonneau@pembroke.ca, calling 613-735-6821 ext.1330, or hand delivery (contact information below).

Written and oral submissions will form part of the public meeting record, including the name and address of the commenters, as information collected under the Planning Act. The minutes, written submissions and a recording of the meeting will be posted on the City’s website. Written submissions can be made to the City Clerk, by emailing victoria.charbonneau@pembroke.ca, or by post or by dropping off at City Hall, 1 Pembroke St. E., Pembroke ON K8A 3J5. Please ensure that all written submissions include your name, address, and if applicable the application number of which you are submitting your comment to comment on.

If you wish to be notified of future open houses or public meetings for the City’s New Official Plan a written request must be submitted to the Clerk, by emailing victoria.charbonneau@pembroke.ca, or by calling 613-735-6821 ext.1330.
