Community Improvement Plan

The City offers 10 grant programs through the Community Improvement Plan which range in dollar value and project type. Most grants are focused on commercial, industrial, or multi-use developments and buildings.

Enterprise Renfrew County's mandate is to encourage and contribute to the enterprising spirit and economic development of the County by assisting entrepreneurs with the development of new or existing companies. It is part of the Ontario Small Business Centres association, which has an e-learning platform covering a variety of topics.

The Labour Market Group of Renfrew and Lanark is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, and works to provide accurate and timely labour market information to employers, job seekers, and organizations that use labour market data for strategic planning purposes.

The Local Immigration Partnership Lanark and Renfrew is funded by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), a department of the government of Canada, and supports the community in bringing together service providers, settlement agencies, community groups, employers, and other key municipal organizations to create a welcoming and inclusive community for newcomers.

The Pembroke Business Improvement Area (PBIA) represents the businesses and property owners in Pembroke's downtown core. It has a mandate to promote, maintain, and beautify downtown. All properties located within its boundaries are automatically members of the organization.

Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation is designed to support enterprise, community-based development, and employment in Renfrew County.
