Pembroke has been officially designated Hockey Town Canada. With three native sons inducted to Hockey's Hall of Fame, Frank Nighbor, Harry Cameron, and Hugh Lehman, a storied Junior A franchise, and generations of young players coming to our city to play in the Terry O'Neill Regional Silver Stick Tournament, Pembroke is one of our country's great hockey hotbeds.
In late November, early December Pembroke plays host to the International Silver Stick tournament, the largest tourney of its kind in North America.
