Spooky Movie Night

Date: October 16th, 2021

The City of Pembroke and the Township of Laurentian Valley are happy to be teaming up again for Spooky Movie Night at the Skylight Drive-In. This free movie night will take place October 16th and gates will open at 5 p.m. The first movie will start at approximately 6:30 p.m. followed by the second at approximately 8:30 p.m. The two spooky movies that will be shown are Hotel Transylvania followed-by Goosebumps.

We have lots of great sponsors on board for this year again. Thanks to their generosity we will have lots of fun things going on including:

  • Free treat bags all the children in attendance,
  • Popcorn vouchers to the first 400 people through the gates
  • A costume contest with prizes for the best family, youth and adult costumes.

Tickets are required per carload for this event so get them before they are gone. Reminder that if you have a ticket and end up not being able to use it to please return it through Eventbrite so someone else can use it.

Those looking to participate in the costume contest will be required to meet before the first movie starts. Judging will take place at 6:00 p.m. by the playground. Mayor Bennett from Laurentian Valley and Deputy Mayor Gervais from the City of Pembroke will be judging the costume contest.

While attending with your carload the Skylight Drive-in is permitting sitting outside of your vehicle in a lawn chair as well as sitting in the back of your truck/van/suv. Seating outside of your vehicle will be allowed as long as everyone is able to maintain a distance of 2 meters from other movie goers. Masks must be worn if you are entering the building for the Snack Bar or the washroom.

In addition to the Halloween festivities we will also be accepting monetary donations to the St. Joseph’s Food Bank.

If you have any questions about this event contact the Recreation Department at 613-735-6821 ext. 1502 or email [email protected].
