Join us on Thursday, August 22nd from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at Pembroke's Waterfront Park for a free community barbecue held to recognize the efforts of volunteers and staff in our community regarding this spring’s flood. We would love to have members of the public and those affected by the floods join us as we say thank you to everyone who lent a helping hand throughout, and in the aftermath of, our recent flooding emergency. Invite the friends and family you know who were part of the efforts to come be a part of the afternoon.
Attendees will receive a free barbecued dinner with festivities continuing until 7:30 p.m. This is a first come first served, while quantities last, event. We will also have lawn games, magic, bounce castles from Ry-J's Climbing Adventures Inc., balloon twisting from Mr Dimples, and more to add some fun to the evening for everyone.
All staff and volunteers who gave their time and efforts to help the city and their neighbours during the state of emergency are invited to join as we recognize all contributions.
If any community groups or organizations would like to be a part of our Flood Appreciation Community Barbecue, you can contact us by messaging The City of Pembroke on Facebook, through email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling (613) 735-6821 ext. 1501.
