The City of Pembroke is continuing to monitor the situation regarding the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) with the guidance of government and healthcare professionals across the province and the country.  Throughout this situation, the City’s goal is to safeguard the continuity of Pembroke services that support the safety and well-being of our residents while ensuring the health and safety of our employees.

Income Tax information

Property owners seeking property tax information to support their income tax filing can call 613-735-6821 ext. 1323 or email pembroke@pembroke.ca.

Your property tax statement can be mailed or emailed to you as requested.

Property Taxes and Water/Sewer Payments

Residents are encouraged to utilize online payment options to pay their property tax and water bills.  To add the City of Pembroke as a payee, use the search-term “Pembroke” and choose “Taxes” for property taxes or “Water Works” for Water/Sewer billing. Your account number can be found at the top right hand side of your bill. Use this account number without any dashes or decimals, adding extra zeros to the end if required. Specific online banking information for the different Canadian banks is available here.

These bills can also be paid at your local bank or via cheque:

  • By regular mail to the City of Pembroke Tax Dept., 1 Pembroke Street East, Pembroke, ON, K8A 3J5
  • Using the mail slot/drop box located at the front of City Hall

Pet Tags

With the office now closed to the general public, a pet tag form can be can be found online.   The 2020 fee chart is also available online.  A completed pet tag form along with payment can be:

  • Sent via regular mail to the City of Pembroke, 1 Pembroke Street East, Pembroke, ON, K8A 3J5
  • Dropped off using the mail slot/drop box located at the front of City Hall

Upon receipt of your completed form and payment, your pet tag will be mailed to you.

Animal Control has been advised of a longer turn-around time to obtain a tag.

Recycling Containers

For inquiries, please contact the Operations Department at 613-735-6821 ext. 1410 or lrook@pembroke.ca.

The purchase of recycling containers can be made via cheque:

  • Via regular mail to the City of Pembroke, 1 Pembroke Street East, Pembroke, ON, K8A 3J5; OR
  • Dropped off using the mail slot/drop box located at the front of City Hall

Delivery will be arranged by appointment only, after payment is received by calling 613-735-6821 ext. 1410.

Collection Schedules

The 2020-2021 Waste Collection Schedule is being delivered the week of March 23, 2020.

If you have not received your schedule by March 30, contact the Operations Department at 613-735-6821 ext. 1410 or download a copy from the city website.

Parking Ticket Payments

Parking tickets cannot be paid online.

Any Parks & Recreation invoices or fees can be paid for over the phone.  The department office is available to the public via phone or email: 613-735-6821 ext. 1501 or recreation@pembroke.ca.
