The Police Service Board is responsible for:

  • Determining objectives and priorities for police services, after consultation with the detachment commander or his or her designate.
  • Establishing any local policies with respect to police services, after consultation with the detachment commander or his or her designate.
  • Receiving regular reports from the detachment commander or his or her designate on disclosures and decisions made under Section 45 (secondary activities)

Police Service Board meetings are held in Council Chambers on a quarterly basis beginning at 4:00 p.m.   The next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.  Members of the Public and media are welcome to attend these public meetings.
