COVID-19 Resources for Businesses

This page gathers resources and information for businesses in Pembroke regarding government programs, services and supports available during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We understand this is a difficult time for everyone in our community. Please know we are committed to continuing to support Pembroke businesses through it. If you have questions that are not addressed by the sources below, please reach out to us and we will do our best to source the information you are looking for.

We recognize there is a lot of information coming out, from many different sources, and it can be difficult to know where to go for up-to-date and reliable information. It is our hope the below list will make it easier and less overwhelming for businesses to get the information they need. It will be updated as more information and resources become available.

Local Government Support

There are some NEW local government support programs availible to local businesses. These programs are as follows:

1. Business Development FundA grant that is administered through Enterprise Renfrew County. Businesses can get a grant of up to $5,000 for costs related to e-business solutions, marketing, and creative solutions in the COVID-19 environment. Applications are now closed and successful applicants will be announced in August. 

2. COVID-19 Regional Relief and Recovery Fund: An interest-free loan administered through the Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation. Businesses adversely affected by COVID-19 can get a 0% interest loan of up to $40,000. If you have questions about this fund visit their FAQs or call RCCFDC at 613-431-3951. 

3. Community Improvement Plan - COVID-19 Business Support Grant: This is a new category under the City's Community Improvement Plan. Businesses are eligible for up to $2,500 for 50% of costs related to construction, renovation or signage costs due to COVID-19. The grant is currently open and accepting applications until October 20, 2020.
