Take Notice that the Corporation of the City of Pembroke is inviting formal Offers of Purchase and Sale for the vacant lands described below.

Offers must be provided in a sealed envelope addressed to: A. Lochtie, Treasurer, City of Pembroke at 1 Pembroke Street East, Pembroke, ON K8A 3J5.

Complete Offers to Purchase will be considered by City of Pembroke Council, which will have the authority and retain the right to accept or reject any or all offers at its sole discretion.  The City of Pembroke is not required to accept the highest or any other completed offer.

Description of Lands (General):

  1. The property municipally known as 524 Pembroke Street East, legally known as CON 2 PT LOT 29.  The land is zoned Residential Type 1 Zone (R1).  The property has a frontage of approximately 67’ and depth of approximately 133’.

Important Inclusions:

All formal offers to purchase must include the following information in order to be considered complete:

  1. Amount being offered;
  2. Deposit of at least $1,000 in the form of a certified cheque;
  3. Any conditions associated with the offer;
  4. Details of proposed use/development of the property;
  5. Closing date; and
  6. Timeline for occupancy/development of property.

NOTE:     HST may be payable by successful purchaser. 

NOTE:    The property had an appraisal completed in 2020 with an assigned value of $30,000. The property does not have water and sewer and services would need to be brought to the property line by the purchaser.

NOTE:    Any accepted offer will be subject to a development proposal with a time line for completion. If this is not achieved and the City has not granted an extension the City may at its discretion repurchase the land for the original purchase price less any legal expenses incurred by the City with respect to the property sale and repurchase.
