As of September 2016 Pembroke has launched it's Community Improvement Plan (CIP). A Community Improvement Plan is a tool used by municipalities to assist in community revitalization and achieving economic, community planning, and urban development goals through encouraging private-sector investment. In August 2020 an new grant category was added - the COVID-19 Business Support Grant.
The City of Pembroke has lauched the Business Spotlight series. While the COVID-19 pandemic has been very challenging to navigate for local businesses, it has also been an opportunity for innovation and growth. We have seen many local businesses pivot to adapt to the changing environment to meet the needs of their customers. The City of Pembroke is open for business with over 700 acres of vacant land. Along with privately held land, the City maintains two industrial parks with land available from $10,000 per acre plus frontage. Lots are configurable and may be smaller than an acre parcel.
