Parks & Recreation

The Parks & Recreation Department oversees the planning and implementation of recreation programs, bookings for City-owned facilities, and special events including:

Kinsmen Pool
Pembroke Marina
Recreation Programming
Riverside Park Tent and Trailer Campground
Special Events

It also maintains a Volunteer Program and actively recruits members of the community to assist with public events.

Parks & Facilities

The Parks & Facilities Section maintains approximately 200 acres of passive and active parklands. Staff is responsible for grass cutting, grounds maintenance, city-owned flower and shrub beds and maintenance of all city trees. Some specific areas of responsibility include Riverside Park Tent and Trailer Campground, all athletic sport fields and ball parks as well as the very popular Waterfront area along the shores of the Ottawa River.
