Herb Walk

Date: July 9th, 2018

Come Learn about herbs growing right along the Pembroke Waterfront!

It's a great opportunity to spend some time outside on the lovely Kiwanis Way Waterfront Path in Pembroke and learn about the medicinal plants growing right in our backyard!

We will cover a short distance along the wheelchair and walker accessible paved path. We will start near the pointerboat where the boardwalk ends and the paved path begins, walk past Algonquin College, to the bridge nearby - about a kilometer in total.

We will learn about local herbs plants including linden trees, mullein, chicory, white clover, red clover, white sweet clover, plantain, St. John’s wort, motherwort, yarrow, stinging nettles, sumac, jewelweed and yellow dock.

9:00 am-10:00 am is designed specifically for seniors (all are welcome)

5:00 pm-6:00 pm is for the general public (all are welcome)
