The Parks & Facilities Section maintains approximately 200 acres of passive and active parklands. Staff is responsible for grass cutting, grounds maintenance, city-owned flower and shrub beds and maintenance of all city trees. Some specific areas of responsibility include Riverside Park Tent and Trailer Campground, all athletic sport fields and ball parks as well as the very popular Waterfront area along the shores of the Ottawa River.
The section is also responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvements to the two City-owned arenas, a community pool and the Marina which is located on the Ottawa River.

The Parks system includes:

- 5 regulation soccer fields including 9 mini-pitch soccer fields
- 52 serviced camping sites at Riverside Park
- Flower beds in various parks
