Human Resources

Human Resources is responsible for managing the Corporate Human Resources functions including recruitment, benefits, wage and salary administration, labour and staff relations and negotiations and administration of collective agreements.

Operations

Under the direction of the Operations Committee of Council and City Council, the mandate of the Operations Department is to administer and manage public infrastructure including water mains, sanitary sewers and storm sewers, municipal roads, bridges and sidewalks, public parks and facilities, capital projects, the Utilities facilities including Water Purification Plant & Pollution Control Plant, and oversees the collection program of garbage, recycling and organic material.

Planning

Land use planning affects almost every aspect of life. It helps decide where in our community homes and industries should be built; where parks and schools should be located and where roads, sewers and other essential services should be provided.

Recreation

The Recreation, Culture & Tourism Department oversees the planning and implementation of recreation programs, bookings for city owned facilities, and special events.

Treasury

The Finance Department incorporates Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounts Receivable including taxes and water/sewer charges. Methods of payment accepted include cash, cheque or debit card.
