-Promotion and New Hire
The Pembroke Police Service would like to welcome their newest member Cst. Jon Libby to Pembroke. Cst. Libby was hired by the Pembroke Police Service on July 5, 2010 and is bringing with him approximately 4 years of experience with the Toronto Police Service. The other change in the Police Department is the promotion of Cst. Dean Duchrow to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Duchrow started his career with the York Regional Police Service and made the move to Pembroke in the late 90's. Sgt Duchrow is looking forward to his new role with the service and stated that even though he has been promoted, he is still a uniform member and the community will still see him out on the street. Congratulations to both officers.

Police Vehicles Are Now Blue And White
People in Pembroke will notice a difference when they spot a police car driving by in the community. The Pembroke Police Service has changed their vehicle colours and decal design from the plan white cars with a blue and red stripe to a blue vehicle with white doors and roof and a new age " Pembroke Police Service" decal on the doors. The change comes with very little cost due to the fact that the new design will be fazed in as the service replaces old police vehicles.
